Well ever since I was young, I had my head in the clouds all day / Singing melodies that made me smile. They kept my smilling each and every day/ Well them boys are tryin’ to bring me down, tryin’ to knock my off of my cloud / But damn that would hurt / At that point in my life, I was sick and tired of being hurt all the time / By hurtful words that went straight to my heart / You wouldn’t know it but they tore me apart / So I built one grand wall around my heart so that after all / Them boys wouldn’t hurt me now / With a little bit more time, I ended up with a new group of friends / They’d bring me out, they’d get me high / Before I knew it some time had gone by / And I changed my ways.
